On a studio of one

People ask when the studio will grow. The honest answer is never, or not on purpose. One person means the idea from the first call reaches the final render without being handed over five times. It means I say no to more work than I take. And it means every frame you see here was checked, at least once, by the same pair of eyes.

Noa Calder, Port Sable, 2026

Who works on a job.

In order of appearance
  1. 01

Noa Calder Direction, 3D, and lighting

Takes the first call and delivers the last file.

  2. 02

Iris Mallow Music and sound design

Scores every title sequence and most of the loops.

  3. 03

    Juno Arkwright Freelance simulation artist

Joins for jobs with more fluid than one machine can hold.

  4. 04

    Pell Okonjo Freelance compositor

Brought in when a delivery runs to more than twenty formats.

Three rules at the desk.

  1. Rule 01

    Light has a source

Nothing glows without a lamp behind it. Scenes take longer to set up and much less time to change.

  2. Rule 02

    Color before motion

The color script is approved before a single frame moves.

  3. Rule 03

    Watch it in silence

A loop that works with the sound off works everywhere.
