Launch renders for Ostrane Optics: a film and a set of stills about what glass does to light, without showing a single lens.
Ostrane did not want a product shot. They wanted the reason people buy the product.
Every frame shows glass splitting, bending, or holding light. The lenses themselves never appear. The film ran before the launch event, and the stills became the box art.
The hardest part was restraint: real glass with real dispersion, and no glow added in compositing.
Our engineers asked which lens elements we had scanned. None. That was the best review we could get.
