Studio
A studio of one
Why I stayed one person, how I plan a quarter, and the three people I call when a job is too big for one desk.

People ask when I will hire. The honest answer is: not yet, and maybe never. A studio of one means the idea in the first call is the idea in the final render. Nothing gets lost between people.
Planning a quarter
I take two large jobs and two small ones each quarter. A large job is a title sequence or a launch film. A small job is a loop pack or a set of stills. Friday afternoons stay free for personal work, which is where most of the large jobs come from.

The people I call
For sound, Iris Mallow. For a second pair of hands on a big render, a freelancer I trust. For contracts, a lawyer who reads them slower than I do. That is the whole studio.
Small is not a stage you grow out of. It is a choice you keep making.
