It taught me to <em>stand still.<\/em><\/p>\n\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"kurato-copy\"><p>Lysverk Architects hired me in 2015 to photograph their finished buildings. I learned to wait for clean light on a wall, to keep verticals straight, and to come back on a better day when the sky was wrong.<\/p>\n<p>The frames here are the ones I made for myself between jobs: stairwells seen from the top floor, brick against a blue sky, colored walls in a courtyard. The bridge in fog was the last one, made on the morning I decided to leave architecture and go north.<\/p>\n<p>It is the oldest series on this site, and the only one with straight lines in it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"kurato-quote kurato-wrap kurato-panel wp-block-kurato-quote\">\n\t<blockquote>\n\t\t<p>\u201cTeo was the only photographer we worked with who asked to see the building at six in the morning.
